Once the driver from Logitech is installed the webcam works well. It does require downloading the driver from Logitech's website for the camera to work (I installed it in an older Windows 7 computer) the exact site took a little digging to find online but thanks to a search on Google I was able to find and install the driver. The unit easily sits atop a computer monitor. On a desktop, it is usually recommended to plug it into a USB port in the back of the computer rather than the front.
